David L. Snively Of San Jose, CA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, of a heart attack. Born September 4, 1951, in Arizona to Howard and Gladys Snively. Moved to New York State while in grade school, then Los Angeles, before settling in San Jose. Graduated from Willow Glen High School, Class of 1969. Attended San Jose State University. Spent over 30 years in the real estate industry, most recently as a certified general appraiser with The Schmidt-Prescott Group. David enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly with his granddaughter, Rosalani. He was always ready to BBQ for family gatherings and to talk story around the kitchen table. He loved the outdoors and fishing, camping, hiking, and the beach. He especially loved Hawaii and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. David was genuinely interested in others and what they had to say. He never passed up an opportunity to speak with someone and was curious about everything. He was steady as a rock and as dependable as the sunrise and sunset. He is survived by his spouse, Andrianna; daughter Tasi, son-in-law Ed and granddaughter Rosalani; son Sean; mother Gladys; brother Paul De Facio; sister Laura La Roche, brother-in-law Dennis, and niece Michelle. Memorial Service to be held at 2pm, Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the SGI-USA Community Center, located at 1875 De La Cruz Blvd, Santa Clara. In lieu of flowers, the Family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
