We have two children and two grandchildren. I retired last year after working 30 years for the commercial HVAC company Rus and I started in 1988.

Retired Married
After graduating and working in San Jose for many years, I moved to San Diego, and then to Mexico Beach, FL in the Panhandle.  I've been living in the upstate of South Carolina for 15 years with my husband and two goldendoodles.  I love the area in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with all the lakes, rivers, waterfalls, hiking, and all that nature has to offer.  My hobbies are pickleball, swimming, and editing my husband's books.  I'm sorry I haven't been able to attend any of the reunions, and am especially sorry to miss the 50th.  I already had a trip back to northern California planned for October.  Have fun!  Send Karen a MessageSend Karen a Message

Event Producer / Publisher FastForwardEvents.com Married
After HS I went to SJSU as pre-med. Unable to get into med school (most likely my steller grades), I became a SCUBA Instructor and worked the local dive shops teaching until I became an Instructor Trainer and photography instructor, which brought me to work in the Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and Saudi Arabia. In 1981, I created a publishing company, which produced two magazines (Discover Diving and Dive Report), maps, log books, travel and dive shows, and a line of diving and travel books. I traveled the World diving, shooting photography, including catalogs and magazine covers. I sold the publishing company in 1998 to Peterson Publishing and stayed on as a Group Publisher, managing several titles until 2000. In 2000, I ran a top 200 trade show for 3 years, and subsequently started my current company, Fast Forward Ventures, an event and PR agency. We own the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival (Rated #1 in the US this year), SommCon (a Sommelier convention in DC and SD, and Fit Foodie (fitness and race series). In between, I sailed to Hawaii and back (lived on my boat for 10 yrs), became a pilot in 1988 now with over 2500 hours. A level 2 Sommilier and finally took up golf when I turned 60. Married for 33 years, no kids.  NOT retired and enjoying life. Send Ken a MessageSend Ken a Message

Business owner Married 2
I have my business here in San Jose, Technology Credit Corporation, and live in Palo Alto.  Our older daughter was married at our home last week - they are still together after these many days!  Our younger daughter lives and works in Manhattan (fashion business).  Started and managed a Parade here in San Jose on The Alameda, the "Rose White and Blue 4th of July Parade."  Lots of fun!  Play Classical Guitar and I am a regular at Equinox.  Biggest accomplishment: Tricking my first wife into being my last (so far). fundraiser/aspiring grandmother Married 1
I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the reunion-- I'd love to catch up with so many of you.
After graduating from UC Berkeley in 1974 I went into the advertising business, where I met my husband Bob Hoffman.  We married in 1980 and our daughter Lucy was born in 1990. Bob and I live in wonderful, difficult Oakland. We took up golf twenty years ago and expect to improve very soon. I continue to study ballet, classical piano, and Zen. It's been a wonderful fifty years since WGHS. I wish I'd been more present back then.
Wishing everyone health, equanimity, and laughs!
Love, Mia

I am so saddened to look through the Memorials and see too many familiar, dear names.  But I'm so looking forward to our reunion!  I'm retired from my profession of physical therapy/management (mostly Santa Clara County Valley Medical Center) and pursue astronomy, birding, volunteering as a Master Gardener, and being historian/writer for our local chapter of Retired Public Employees Association.  I have two daughters from my first marriage. Learned some hard lessons and have a wonderful second marriage (he has 4 children--we had three 12 year-olds when we joined forces!). Graduated UCB--Go, Bears! and then UCSF.  I LOVE to ride my bicycle...mostly in big circles. Send Marianne a MessageSend Marianne a Message
