Classmates

Please help us locate our classmates! If you are in touch with someone from the WGHS Class of 1969, have them contact us or visit this website.

Post a mini-Bio here, and your classmates can send you a message! This is a great way to reconnect without making your contact information public!

If you haven't yet registered, please do so now. If you have aready registered, log in and you will be able to post an update or a mini-bio on this website for your classmates to see. There is a delay of a day or so between submitting your update/bio and when it appears on the website. We will supply the "THEN" picture from our yearbook. You can upload a "NOW" picture when you do your profile.

Comment: Wow, where did all that time go?  Looking forward to catching-up with old classmates.  I retired in 2015 from 20 years with Military Sealift Command (the civilian-run supply ship service for the US Navy).  Needless to say I have not been on any cruises since I retired!  I spent most of my time with MSC in the Southeast Asia area.  Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Korea, and Guam were all areas that I visited on a regular basis.  Now I have just been a "homebody" doing maintenance and repairs on my place in Guerneville.

Pamela Obuchon (Neal)

Marital status: Widowed
Children: 1
Occupation: Retired Court Clerk
Comment: I graduated from Sonoma State with a BA in Art History 1973. To pay the bills I worked in the design field for the next 25 years. During the 14 years that I lived in Sonoma I married my ❤️ and we had our daughter.

In 1985 we moved to Weed CA to become entrepreneurs. After losing our shirts we both obtained employment with the County, which then transferred to Del Norte once our daughter graduated from high school in 2000.

Our plan was to continue working until retirement and then travel. Agent Orange got in the way of our plans with ❤️'S death in 2009 from Cancer.

I continue to travel in his honor.

Janet Pearson (Black)

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Retired
Comment: After graduation I worked for various high tech companies in production and worked as a trainer in the training department of Fairchild.  Just recently I retired from an office manager position for a general contractor.  I have been married for 43 years, to my husband Richard.  We have 1 son and 1 daughter and 2 beautiful grandchildren.  We have had the opportunity to travel throughout this beautiful country to many of its states and have had the awesome chance of traveling to a number of other countries, which includes Tanzania, Africa and Italy.  I will not be able to attend the reunion as we will be traveling again.  The last reunion I attended was the 20th.

Comment: Hey Rams! Once I was able to find before and after photos of myself wearing the same pair of eyeglasses I decided I would add a profile. I came full circle post-WGHS geographically too, as I have retired to Santa Cruz where I went to college. Both of my original ocular lenses have been replaced with plastic implants so I can see for miles and miles, out over Monterey Bay or up into the Sta. Cruz Mtns. Greetings all around.

Candace Phippen (Bridges)

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Retired
Comment: Life after retirement (well, sort of retired) as a Zoning & Building Code Compliance Supervisor for our local county has been busy.  My husband, Pat, refurbishes vintage Airstreams, which allows us to travel while buying, selling and testing the trailers.  Our last trip to the east coast of Canada, including Newfoundland, lasted four months!

I worked last year on a contract basis researching properties for newly enacted short-term rental regulations and have been asked back this year as well.  What a way to work, i.e., you get to choose the hours, days and time.  Can't get much better than that!

My "now" profile photo is from a party in August celebrating 50 years since Woodstock!  How we've changed!
